Throughout my life, the two things I could be counted on to contribute to almost any conversation have been random, obscure facts and whatever outlandish fabrications I can make up off the top of my head. Once I figured out that I could use my natural affinity for fact and falsehood (non-fiction and fiction in library terms) to help people on a daily basis, I knew that was the right career for me. I became a librarian because I believe in the truth, but I love a good lie.
