Which teacher influenced you the most?

The teacher who influenced me the most was my high school history teacher, Mr. McCauley. He's the one who got me really interested in studying history. I now have two degrees in history from UTA.

What was your favorite book when you were growing up?

My favorite books growing up were the We Were There series in which the reader participates in a historical scene such as the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

What are you reading now?

Right now I'm reading The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. I just finished reading Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse and We by Yevgeny Zamyatin.

Who is your favorite author?

My favorite author is probably Milan Kundera, but I also like to read Richard Flanagan's books.
