LibraryLiNK Outreach

The Arlington Public Library's LibraryLiNK program provides innovative library service to the Arlington community that goes above and beyond traditional branch library facilities.

Arlington ISD Students

Use Your student ID Card to check out items!

AISD Students can:

  1. Access online learning services (language learning, test taking, etc.) from the library’s website.
  2. Download e-books and audiobooks for recreational reading.
  3. Search the catalog and place holds on material—if your library has a school-based LibraryLiNK collection, you can have materials sent to your school for checkout.
  4. Check out 2 books on your AISD student account. Expanded checkout privileges (up to 50 items, including audiovisual material) are available when you get your parent’s signature and upgrade to a GOCard (grades Pre-K-6) or a MYCard (grades 7-12).

LibraryLiNK in AISD and MISD schools

LibraryLink in schools

These sites provide a circulating collection of materials for adults within Arlington Independent School District (AISD) and Mansfield Independent School District (MISD) schools so that families can use school libraries together. These school libraries are open outside regular school hours to the families of children attending these schools.

Library users may request materials from the library’s general collection to be sent to these schools for pickup and may also return materials there. School library staff is able to issue Arlington Public Library cards to adults and children.

Regularly scheduled programming is also offered for families with preschool children at these sites.

Pickup Lockers and Download Stations

LibraryLink Pickup lockers & download stations

The first pickup locker and download station location is now open at the YMCA's Cooper Street Branch. Cardholders can request materials through the Library’s online catalog.  When the material has been delivered, the cardholder will receive an email with the locker combination. Materials can also be returned at the locker site.

In addition, a computer kiosk is installed where library card holders can plug in their mobile devices to access and download digital content such as audiobooks.

To suggest additional pickup locker and download station sites, email or call 817-459-6900.

Mobile Library

LibraryLink Mobile

The mobile LibraryLiNK van serves childcare centers, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, as well as area events and festivals.

This service provides library card registration, technology programming (through a mobile laptop lab), as well as checkout of library materials.

If your organization or facility would like to request service from the mobile LibraryLiNK, email or call 817-459-6900.

Our Funders and Partners

Most LibraryLiNK materials and services have been generously funded through the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation and through an LSTA grant provided by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. In addition, without the partnerships established between the Arlington Public Library, Arlington Independent School District, Mansfield Independent School District and the YMCA of Arlington, the LibraryLiNK program would not be possible.
