Director's Greeting

Thank you for visiting our virtual branch. The Arlington Public Library's mission is to be our community's best and most sought after resource for information, learning, and discovery. We provide a welcoming and friendly environment for our patrons and visitors, whether they walk through the doors at the George W. Hawkes Central Library, visit one of our neighborhood branch libraries, or visit us on the Web. Regardless of where or how you visit us, we're glad you're here!
We offer a variety of educational opportunities, services, and programs for children and adults. Our Collection offers a wide range of titles on interesting and useful subjects. We also provide public computers in all our library locations with access to a large number of databases and other virtual resources.
We invite you to take advantage of all these opportunities, programs, and services on a regular basis. We are pleased to offer them to you. But, the most important resource we provide for the community is dedicated staff. Whether you check out a book, attend one of our many programs or classes, use our electronic resources, or request information from a member of our Reference staff, we want to make every interaction a positive and satisfying experience.
Thank you for your time today. Please let me know how we can improve our services. We appreciate your continued support and hope you will make good use of the many resources and services we provide.
Sincerely,
Cary Siegfried
