Nonprofit Grantseeking Basics with Foundation Directory Online

The Arlington Public Library will host a free workshop on grantseeking basics for nonprofit organizations. The workshop presenter will be Kief Schladweiler, Coordinator of Cooperating Collections of the Foundation Center. If you work with a non-profit organization, or new to grantseeking and want to learn about obtaining grants, this workshop will provide you with:
- an opportunity to network with other organizations.
- an overview of the grantseeking process, which will cover: building a credible nonprofit organization; the world of grant makers; finding funding partners; and grantseeking resources.
- tips on how best to identify funding sources, using the free electronic and print resources available at the George W. Hawkes Central Library.
- an introduction to Foundation Directory Online, the Foundation Center’s top-tier searchable database providing information on more than 91,000 grantmakers and more than a million grant records.
