Our Volunteer Experience
"I want to thank you [Ivonne], Glory, and the Arlington Reads program for all of your assistance I received as a volunteer. Everyone, including yourself, provided prompt and courteous information and valuable resources that allowed me to perform my duties to the best of my abilities. You and your staff have conducted the program in an organized, professional manner which have contributed to a successful operation. I am proud to have been a volunteer with the organization and if an opportunity presents itself in the future, I would be willing to volunteer once again." —Tyler B.
“Volunteering, in my opinion, shouldn't be about what you can get from the experience - rather it should truly be about helping out your fellow human beings - but let's face it. As a volunteer you do receive gratification in the form of seeing your efforts pay off, and Arlington Reads is a bullseye in this respect. The best part of this opportunity is that Arlington Reads offers flexible schedules and formats for the volunteer. You want to teach a small class? They got you covered. You want to be a one-on-one tutor? They can get you set up with that too. I know they're needing volunteers like crazy right now. There's a substantial list of students waiting to be matched with teachers, so I encourage you to inquire.” —Ryan G.
