Book It for Literacy 5k / 1 mile Fun Run
Saturday, August 14th from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

Join us for the inaugural edition of the Arlington Reads - Book it for Literacy 5K / 1 Mile on Saturday, August 14th! This is a fun and competitive race in beautiful River Legacy Parks in north Arlington. The course is relatively flat & fast, and is mostly tree-shaded. Early registration fee:
  • Adults - $20
  • Kids 12 & under - $15
Race day fee:
  • Adults - $25
  • Kids 12 & under - $20

Awards and Prizes:

  • First Prize for overall male and female in the 5k
  • Awards to the first finishers in the following age categories: 0-8, 9-12, 13-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
  • Ribbons for all one-mile participants
  • Door Prizes: All participants are eligible, but must be present to win.

Directions:

Maps and a virtual tour of River Legacy are available at their website. DIRECTIONS FROM DALLAS, FORT WORTH, etc. Exit onto N. Cooper off I-30 in Arlington and go north. Turn Left at the intersection of Cooper & Green Oaks. Turn Right at the very next intersection/light and go into the Park. Continue on the park entrance road. Turn Left at the first road on the left. Continue on that road until you see the race activity.
